The Malta International Fireworks Festival is an annual event organised by the Ministry for Tourism and the Malta Tourism Authority.
This year’s edition shall be the seventeenth edition of this festival. The opening shall take place on Saturday 21st April in Xewkija, Gozo, this will be followed by another spectacle on Friday 27th April in Marsaxlokk, with the Grand Finale taking place in the Grand Harbour in Valletta on Monday 30th April. In contrast to previous years, this year will not only highlight fireworks, but will showcase cultural elements and traditions which one associates with a traditional Maltese feast.
This festival attracts a variety of pyrotechnic companies from countries from all over the world like Australia, Canada, Venezuela, Italy, Austria, Spain, Portugal and the United Kingdom. Both local and foreign firework factories will participate in the upcoming 17th edition to bring visitors spectacular pyrotechnic performances accompanied by music.
This event is free of charge and all are invited to enjoy the magnificent show.
